| Camp speaker in PNG |

In July 2010 Rev Samiuela Pilimisolo Matalave was invited to be one of the guest speakers at the National Scripture Union Camp at Karkar Island, Madang Province, PNG. The following excerpt is from Pilimisolo's report.
The camp drew about 3,000 campers excluding the locals, some traveling 3-4 days by boat, some by truck and others by plane… The campers slept on the grass under a shelter or on cement floors. For the evening rallies many generators were used to light up the whole place. At the last night, 5-6,000 came, packed around the soccer field, giving wonderful opportunity for the Gospel message.
It was interesting to see everybody with a Bible, a note book and a pen. They were hungry for Jesus and His Word. At times they listened for 5 hours without moving, sleeping, making noise or stopping for lunch, even in heavy rain… At the Altar Call, thousands came forward, crying, kneeling, lifting hands and crying out to Jesus… The Lord's presence and anointing was upon the Camp. I was deeply touched to see thousands come at all cost, with deep spiritual hunger, just to listen to the Gospel message.
