| National Pastors' Conference |
|
The Wesleyan Methodist Church National Pastors' Conference was held at the Tweed Ultima Conference Centre at Tweed Heads from February 22 to 26. It was a resounding success with 106 pastors and spouses attending. The program focused on the National Priorities of an Undivided Heart, Prayer and Fasting and Community Engagement. There were also church planting presentations from Revs Phil Hotchkin and Mark Gorveatte. Evening speakers were Revs Lindsay Cameron (NS), Hall Malasa (Solomon Islands NS), and Kay Fulcher (Solomon Islands missionary).
Included in the conference were representatives of the New Zealand and Solomon Islands Wesleyan Methodist Churches and from Global Partners in North America. We ate together, worshipped together, studied together and prayed together.
Tuesday was dedicated to prayer and fasting, culminating in a prayer walk to the beach where we gathered for prayer for the Gold Coast. From that spot we had 180 degree views from Tweed heads to Suffers Paradise.
Special thanks to Jeff Adams (Conf Director), Vicki Carnell (registrar), Rose Richardson (book keeping), and Tyrel Cameron (sound and vision).
