Rev. Lindsay Cameron was raised in Queensland, Australia in an unchurched family of four boys. He was converted at age 23 through the ministry of the Nanango Wesleyan Methodist Church, two years after the conversion of his older brother, Hugh Cameron. Lindsay completed his BTh. at Kingsley College in Melbourne before entering the pastorate in North Queensland in 1989. During his four years at Kingsley, Lindsay met and married Rosalea Hotchkin, youngest daughter of Walter and Dorothy Hotchkin, pioneer missionaries to Papua New Guinea

During Lindsay’s ministry in North Queensland he pastored the Mackay/Sarina circuit and later planted the Cairns Wesleyan Methodist Church. While pastoring, Lindsay also served as the first District Superintendent of the newly formed North Queensland District of the Wesleyan Methodist Church.

From the time of his conversion, Lindsay had an abiding call to missionary service in Mozambique, Africa, but it was not until 1994 that the Mozambican field opened up to missionary appointment. Lindsay and Rosalea, together with their two sons, Logan and Tyrel, were accepted to missionary service in 1996 and arrived in Africa in 1997. Lindsay’s appointment during his first term was to theological education in the Maputo and Xai Xai regions of Mozambique. In their second term of service, Lindsay was re-appointed to direct the JESUS Film Project across Southern Africa and to serve as Africa Director for the Wesleyan Church across the continent of Africa. The task of Africa Director included management of fourteen African mission fields as well as liaison with the North American headquarters in Indianapolis.

In 2006, the family returned to Australia for educational purposes, and Lindsay handed the role of Africa Director on to new personnel in October 2007. In January 2008, at the South Pacific Convention in Melbourne, the Australian Wesleyan Methodist Church elected Lindsay to serve as Australian National Superintendent. He brings a passion for the doctrine of holiness to this role as well as an array of ministry experience in international and local church settings.
